The ferryman takes heroes across the Mercatopian oceans... for a price. He has been known to ask heroes to pay more than they can afford, and many a hero is in the ferryman's debt to this day. No-one knows when he will claim for the debts to be paid. At any rate, don't pay the ferryman until he takes you to the other side!.
